FUNLAYERS Kicks Off Long-Term Sustainability Working Group

The consortium gathered at INL to initiate the works under Work Package 6, devoted to the long-term sustainability of the project

The FUNLAYERS consortium met on 18 March at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), for the Kick-off Meeting of the Long-Term Sustainability Working Group.
This initiative, framed within Work Package 6 (WP6), is dedicated to ensuring ongoing collaboration among the three partner institutions beyond the project’s official timeline.

The Working Group’s mission is to define and implement a long-term cooperation model that strengthens and sustains research partnerships. A key focus is the integration of research infrastructures, ensuring that the synergies developed within FUNLAYERS continue to drive scientific advancements well into the future.

During the meeting, participants engaged in strategic discussions on consolidating the FUNLAYERS network and identifying priority areas for collaboration. These discussions laid the groundwork for upcoming focus groups, which will develop a concrete action plan to secure the long-term sustainability of the partnership.

By launching this Working Group, FUNLAYERS takes an important step toward lasting impact in research and innovation. This initiative marks a significant milestone in the project’s vision to establish a structured, sustainable, and future-proof collaboration that extends beyond its initial scope.
